P.h. - SEVENTHLINKS || Venti Cosplay Dance Cover
FINALLY, a month's work of progress is finished! From the adjustments of the costume, 3d printing of parts, filming in 5 locations outside in 20-degree weather for 3 hours, endless hours of video editing, and pestering my mom to get chemistry equipment from work, I present to you my first CMV ever!

I did this video for the final round of a dance competition hosted by Heart_hex on Instagram! The theme for this round was Obsession. Whenever I think of this word, I see it more in a negative light so I tend to think of it as a bad addiction. This song is about a person going through a breakup and due to the emotions overwhelming them, they decide to turn to an unhealthy alternative. The obsession of this disconnected feeling from reality for the character draws them in more no matter the cost and they develop a bad addiction. The lyrics are extremely dark, but the colors from the original video give me a sort of psychotic trip feeling so the emotions portrayed in this video are mixed.
I chose to do this dance in Venti because I thought it would be interesting to have him drink out of chemistry flasks (he loves liquor a lot) and also I found an MMD on youtube with Venti doing this dance so I thought it was perfect. Not only that but I feel like the voice for the cover of this song fits him so well so I had to just do it. This was the first time I played around with mini animations and it was super fun and cute! It'll definitely be something I'm going to try to do more of in the future.
