How to make an upright tail for cosplay - Part 1 - Constructing the base

Are you needing to make a tail for a costume or cosplay? Need it to upright and don't want it to be too heavy or attached with fishing line? Or maybe you are wanting a tail for a fursuit?
Then here's a tutorial just for you!

In part 1 here, I construct the tail base. In part 2, I will show how to cover it with fur.

What you'll need:
- Aluminium strip - I used a 1cm wide with a 3mm thickness, in a 3 meter length (You may want something a bit wider).
- Hacksaw
- Pliers
- Wood - I used a pine board which was 9cm wide with a 8mm thickness
- Marker
- Dremel
- Screws - I actually swapped these out for some 1/4 inch x 18mm bolts and nuts
- Screwdriver
- Wire
- Wire snips
- E6000 glue
- 2.5-3 meters of cotton belting
- Two buckles
- Foam
- Drill and drill bits.
- I also used rulers, a measuring tape, a sewing machine, scissors, a box knife, a hot glue gun and some plastic clamps.
