"Classic" Mystique | X Men Facepaint Tutorial | #Halloween2018
what's good? how ya doin? it's ya girl Dee back with another video.
i've been MIA since i've been finishing up my halloween costume for the year. this was a pet project that I loved, and the first halloween costume i made entirely from scratch. I chose Mystique to keep in my theme of anti heroines in facepaint for halloween. she has a sordid history as a mutant, but she's one of my favorite anti heroes, and she embodies badassery and sex appeal. i chose the classic version over the more modern movie version as the classic version is what i grew up with. if you'd like to see pictures of the full costume, stay tuned to my social media.
to see how i created the dress, gloves and bodysuit pieces, stay tuned for those blogs
for this facepaint tutorial, i used Mehron Paradise Waterbased Facepaint in Lagoon Blue, Light Blue and Black. I also used some of the Mehron Cremestick facepaint in regular blue. I also used L.A. Girl Pro Coverage HD longwear illuminating foundation in White as an additional base.
skin prep-- Urban Decay Vitamin B Spray, benefit cosmetics pore professional, Murad Invisiblur Anti Aging Primer (i highly recommend at least one more primer, or at least a heavily moisturizing facemask beforehand.)
powder: Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Filtered Light Setting Powder
eyeshadow: Hush Beauty Atlantis Palette: empire (navy blue crease/transition) tidal (inner corner) tsunami (blue/glitter all over lid)
Stila Shimmer & Glow, Vivid Sapphire (lid)
eyeliner: urban decay 24/7 glide on pencil, kat von d dagger tattoo liner (trooper)
eyebrows: kat von d 24 hour super brow pomade, scarlet
lipstick: too faced melted matte (lady balls) and melted latex (i'm bossy)
highlight: fenty beauty kilawatt highlighter, 7 day weekend/poolside
lashes: eyelure bronze collection (i don't recommend these, they need a thicker band)
contacts: sweety sky yellow, from
wig: "Its A Wig" 6 inch deep lace part, Lola in Vivid Red (cut and styled by me)
skull charm: hand made by me
costume made and worn by me
if you have any questions, let me know
thanks for watching!!
