Cosplay in America @ A-kon 1994

Starting from the beginning, I consider Anime Expo 2008 to be my "official" first con because I attended all four days. Now when I was a teenager I did attend A-kon for a few hours in 1994 - I suppose I didn't really count it because it wasn't the full weekend and really I went because a friend wanted to go. I didn't even remember recording any footage from my parent's video camera but I must have since I have footage so I guess you could say I've been going to cons for 26 years with a 14 year break the first time.
As for cosplay, looking through the video there were a few, not many, and most were closet cosplay - cosplays made from clothes you can find in a closet.
I have the cosplay contest from A-kon as well and will be posting another video.
