My story...
I had a crazy idea back in 2009 to run around the country photographing cosplayers and putting a book together representing a slice of what someone would see at anime cons. I didn't want to do a best-of since that is so subjective but instead I decided to focus on everyday folks. You'll see different ages, races, backgrounds, shapes and sizes, just a broad scope of people. I found no books on American cosplay as most books are from overseas so with a few trusty credit card (and a bank willing to loan me $$$), I spent 5 months traveling the country, 6 months to edit, 2 months awaiting shipment from Shanghai and in 2010, I crisscross the country again bringing the book to artist alleys at 10 cons. In 2011, I plan on at least 15 cons ... it is gonna be an epic 2011 ! :) FOLLOW ME!
