It's Halloween time! And although in Australia, we don't really celebrate it - @LadyRebeccaFashions and myself decided it would be fun to make some fancy dress costumes from times gone past. We then also opened it up to costubers and costumers on instagram alike - and WOW, we have some amazing collaborators!

My contribution was to make Chelsea China from Weldon's Fancy Dress book circa about 1934/5. It was my nan's book when she was a young girl that I have now inherited. I saw Chelsea China and instantly fell in love with the quaintness of it - of course I had a black and white version... and then online I discovered the coloured version - it was PINK! Still, I powered ahead and made my first recreation of a vintage fancy costume. I hope you enjoy my process!
