Derping at Vancouver Mall

Myself, my sister, and a new friend we met at Kumoricon decided do meet up at Vancouver mall to hang out for a couple hours. We hadn't been there before, but our friend could thankfully be our guide!
We met at the food court, visited some nerdy shops like Hot Topic and Unique Imports and bought way too much stuff, played on the giant chess board on the bottom floor, and had lunch/dinner at the food court.
It was my first time cosplaying in a setting predominantly inhabited by "normal" people, so I got stared at a lot! That turned out to be half the fun, though, so I didn't mind. XP
At Unique Imports I ended up running into another girl I'd seen at Kumoricon '13! I was so excited that we recognized each other! It was great to hang out with her for a while. I also talked a bit with a guy there as well, and at the end of the day while I was at the food court, he came and found me to ask me out for coffee! We ended up eating Sbarro pizza and breadsticks together (and strawberry pocky, which didn't go so well with it).
It ended up being a great day! I had a ton of fun, and I'll definitely have to do this again!
