Hiya puddins! This is part 2 of my Harley Quinn tutorial! (If you missed part 1, click here: ) In this vid, I will show you everything you need to know about making this Suicide Squad costume, including how to dye a synthetic wig, paint a t-shirt with textile medium, craft a necklace, gun harness, belt buckle, and how to customize a baseball bat! EDIT: Thank you so much for all of the excitement and positivity surrounding this video! I love seeing how many of you are interesting in making stuff too! Isn't cosplay fun?! Because I'm getting a lot of the same questions in comments, I'll answer them here:
1. Real hair dye doesn't always stick to synthetic wigs, which is why I use the ink method.
2. If you just use acrylic paint on fabrics without adding the textile medium, it will harden when it dries and turn out super stiff and can crack. The textile medium makes the paint more flexible so it moves with the fabric much better.
3. You can find textile medium in the area of the craft store with the little acrylic paint bottles. It will be with the other paint of the same brand.
4. The little shiny bands that are around my hair ties on my pigtails are actually leftover scraps of fabric from cutting up my shorts! Sometimes leftover scraps make the best detailing pieces!
