How to make a two part silicone mold and hollowcast resin horns for cosplay
How to make a two part silicone mold to use to make hollow resin horns for your (Demonhunter) cosplay? In this video I show you how I made my own, hollow, lightweight, resin horns that I used for my Demonhunter costume and also for my gothic Dragon Lady.
I first sculpt my horn shape with Monster Clay. Then I make a mold with silicone. And to finally make the actual horns, I cast them with resin. Be sure to take the fast curing resin (not the clear resin) to do this because you will need to keep rotating the mold until the resin cures. If you would do this with clear resin, you would be rotating the mold for..... 12 hours or so... Instead of 10 minutes ;)
