How to make your own Pink Mercy Breastplate from the game @playoverwatch @Blizzard
✂ 2D Pink Mercy Breastplate & Skirt Blueprint

To create the breastplate, I wrapped my dress form in Saran Wrap & masking tape. I then used a Sharpie to draw my lines on and cut the template out into smaller sections to lay flat. Next, I traced my templates out onto 4mm EVA foam and then cut them out using an exacto knife. Using contact cement glue, I lined up my pieces and attached them together. I next sanded the edges & seams with my sanding drum and then hand sanded the entire surface for a more even finish. I then used my heat gun to heat treat the EVA foam & then used Kwik Seal to fill any unwanted seams & cracks. The next step was to cover the breastplate in three coats of Plasti Dip and let dry. Once it was dry, I taped off sections and painted a base coat of white & then hot pink airbrush paint. When these sections were dry I masked them off and again painted the breastplate with a base coat of white followed by pink airbrush paint. After this was dry, I removed the masking tape and added details with black acrylic paint. The final step was to add Velcro and then the breastplate was done!
