How to make your own Tyrael Thigh & Boot Covers from the game @Diablo @BlizzHeroes @Blizzard
▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬
To create both the thigh & boot covers, I made templates by wrapping my sister's leg with Saran Wrap & masking tape. I next drew my patterns on with Sharpies while using reference images I got from Tyrael's character from the game Heroes of the Storm. I then cut 2, 4 & 8mm EVA foam to construct each section and sanded them with my sanding drum. Next, I used my heat gun to heat treat all of the EVA foam and glue the pieces together using contact cement glue. To fill any unwanted seams & cracks, I used Kwik Seal. I then covered the thigh & boot covers with three coats of Plasti Dip and let dry. Once they were dry, I taped off my piece & painted them a base coat of black, then silver using an airbrush. After drying, I masked off the silver areas and did a base coat of mocca followed by gold and brown airbrush paint. I then removed the tape and added details with acrylic paint. The final step was to add Velcro and then they were done!
