How to Use a Relay With the Arduino

This video shows how to use a relay with an Arduino micro controller. This is a very simple circuit that allows a relay to be opened and closed with a switch. For this project, the Arduino is not necessary but for many future projects you will need it. A relay can allow a 5 volt current from an Arduino to switch on/off a much higher voltage circuit with out damaging the Arduino. If you like this project, check out some of my others at
