hey Youtube Fam, it's ya girl Dee, back with another video. This is the FINALE!!! the conclusion of my mini series looking at the monthly subscription services between Ipsy and Play! by Sephora. I have been an Ipsy subscriber ever since January of this year, and only recently learned of Sephora's variation of a monthly subscription earlier in the summer. I hope that the series helps you out and gives you additional insight between the two bands, if there's anyone out there that needs some input or advice on deciding.
both services:
$10.00 per month (plus tax!), billed at month end (sephora) 1st of the month (ipsy)
five makeup or beauty items/deluxe samples
(sephora includes perfume as a bonus)
collectable bag (sephora's is a little drawstring satchel, ipsy actually has a full functional bag)
ipsy:
points reward system, user input based. the more you review, like or follow other affiliates/stylists, the more points you earn. points can be redeemed for other items in your bag for the month, starting at 500.
sephora:
points are not directly affiliated with subscription service, though monthly cost will earn you 10 points towards your beauty insider account. bonus points are given with every month's box. no user input/social media following/reviewing necessary. local meetups of other Play! subscribers as well as free advice/how-to's in store.
