KNOCKOFF ALERT! A company STOLE my cosplay image to sell their own product!

4466 visualizações Publicado em 2020-10-09

Recently, an establish brand took one of my images and uploaded it to help sell their own product. I did not give them permission to do so.
In this case, I am one of the lucky ones - after I called them out on it, they removed the image and listing immediately, but it should never have happened in the first place. And if I had not raised this with them, it would still be up.
This is not okay.

And the real sad part? I am not alone in this. This happens all the time to artists - whether it be cosplays, costumers, visual artist, stock artists, content creators - their work is stolen, and then re-uploaded or sold as an inferior product. No credit given.

In this video I talk a little about my experience with this situation, but I've also had my videos stolen before and when I was a stock artist, I had those images stole.
