Episode 2 of my HerUniverse Fashion Show build vlog series.
This episode covers the entire mockup and patterning process for the asymmetrical coat inspired by Carmen Sandiego's red coat. I pattern out the dramatic collar and shoulder pieces for this project and drape out the rest of the coat shape. I also finally finish the bodysuit!
As someone who has avoided mockups at all costs, it was an interesting experience to make not only one, but two mockups for this project. It's a lot of work, but making mockups saved me so much time overall and now I'm using them more!
