final thoughts and reflections on participating in the Cosplay Contest at Planet Comicon here in Kansas City on February 17th, 2018.
this has been my most daunting, complicated and tiresome project to date. but the outpouring of love that i have received in the days afterwards, have been astounding. i didn't realize how special this was to black mothers, to show their black daughters a superhero. i didn't realize how many women identify with Diana of Themyscira, how many are inspired by her, how many people appreciated the little bit of me bringing her to life.
and to know that i was your Wonder Woman for a brief moment, that it made you smile, that it made your day; thank you. i am but a humble nerd, who can be crafty every now and again. but i am just as appreciative of you and your support as you have been to me.
