Pokemon Go Special Research Completed: Mew!

what's good? how ya doin? it's ya girl Dee back with another Pokemon Video.
as i progress in the game, i will be sharing my chronicles and progress as things continue to develop.
today, i caught Mew. so i now have MewTwo, and Mew.
in order to lure out Mew, you have to complete the following "Special" Research Tasks
task 1
Spin 5 PokeStops. 500 XP
Catch 10 Pokemon. 500 XP
Transfer 5 Pokemon. 500 XP
task 2
Earn 2 candies with your buddy 1000 XP
Make 10 Great Throws 1000 XP
Hatch 3 eggs 1000 XP
task 3
Reach Level 15 1500 XP
Battle 2 Gyms 1500 XP
Battle 2 Raids 1500 XP
task 4
Earn Silver Kanto Medal 2000 XP
Earn 5 Candies from Buddy 2000 XP
Evolve 20 Pokemon 2000 XP
task 5 (this is what really caught a few people up)
Catch a Ditto. 2500 XP
Make 20 Great throws. 2500 XP
Catch 10 Ghost-type Pokemon. 2500 XP
to catch a Ditto i highly recommend you make friends! have people spotting and reporting their encounters to make it easier for you to track one.
task 6
Evolve a Magikarp. 3000 XP
Battle 10 raids. 3000 XP
Reach level 25
tip: make a magikarp your buddy to earn candy while walking with them.
right now until April 16th there is a special Kanto event in the game, which is creating more spawns for some of the original pokemon, including magikarp. you get double candy for all of those, and if you use a Pinap berry, that means every catch could be 12 candy. that's how i did it!
task 7
Catch 50 Pokemon using a Berry. 3500 XP
Make 1 excellent curve throw. 3500 XP
Gold Kanto badge 3500 XP
the kanto event is helpful for those who didn't already have their gold kanto medal yet. as for the excellent throw, i would look up some other videos on how to throw and time it just right. but the 50 berries you need to use are plenty of chances to practice
task 8

from the introduction of the research tasks til today, it took me two weeks to complete the quests. (as i also work full time and also tend to the karate kids twice a week lol.) if they didnt have the kanto event right now it would have take longer to get the magikarp candy i needed to evolve one, so i'm super grateful for that lil nod of help from Niantic. i know that some people did it in as little as 24 hours, and i ain't got that kind of time or dedication! but big shout out to the Raytown Raiders group for all of their help with various raids and gym control (Valor!)
and thanks for watching. as i try to keep a good variety of content to bring you. can't have beauty blogs for forever :)
