#Ryme from #PokemonScarletandViolet: Jacket Creation

Hey there! thank you for watching. This is a 33 minute video that shows how I created the bomber for my Ryme cosplay over the course of two months, from the tail end of March to Memorial Day weekend. I worked on this as well as other components of her costume, and a secondary costume all at once. Total working hours was approximately 30.
Components:
Matte Satin (Fabric Wholesale Direct)
Metallic Foil Lame' (Joann)
Craft Foam (Walmart or Joann)
24 inch zipper (Wawak.com)
I neglected to specify a few measurements in the video audio. The sleeve cuffs were folded in half, metallic fabric, cut at about six inches long (or the same measurement as that end of the sleeve pattern) and 3.5 inches wide. This way when folded over it would house a one inch piece of fabric freely.
For the jacket hem, though the fabric was six inches wide and fifty four inches long, the foam was only 2.25 - 2.5 inches wide, so that the fabric could be wrapped around it securely and have room for movement. When adding the seams for the ridges, this decreases the amount of space and fabric, so don't be afraid to measure more fabric than you might actually need.
At the tail end of the video, I did mention that I wound up re-making this jacket entirely, as I desperately needed pockets lol, I needed to test a new sewing machine, (stay tuned!) and also had an opportunity to give Ryme a proper photoshoot with a black cosplay photographer here in Kansas City. Thank you to for capturing the amazing pictures just in time for my birthday, and for the fun little video at the end (we were jamming to Missy Elliott during the shoot lol.
