Spoken Word: No Plastic

(i'm in my car because i have absolutely no privacy, lol. once again, sorry for my slip-ups, nowhere near being memorized yet. here's the text.)

You wont find any plastic here, neither outside or within.
Before you stands a real woman, 100% genuine.
This brain functions with intelligence, logical thoughts and rationality.
Its not clouded with poisonous, vain perceptions and superficiality.
This physical being is unadulterated—
I dont need to go under the knife
And waste money enduring strife
To mis-enhance and falsify my
God given body to create a lie.
I just dont know of anyone in their right mind
That will down play themselves, just to be like
To be made of, or comparable to
A doll, a childs plaything, something plastic that fails to
Represent, dignify, pay homage to,
Glorify, compliment, exemplify,
Or even try to give props to a Woman,
And all that she is,
The Natural beauty that she possesses,
The endless love that she gives,
The strength that she has,
All that she has overcome, and been forced to endure,
All the while, numb to any oppositions
Steadfast—women are amazing, its true.
Yet some dont comprehend the struggles that females have gone through.
Some are oblivious to the females outstanding longevity.
Some are ignorant to all that women have accomplished in history.
Some let their minds and ways be swayed by what they see
In magazines, on the internet, and on tv,
Receiving the misconception that being stick thin is the thing,
Or theyll gain more attention if they act a little funny,
That theyll become more popular by blatantly unraveling
And exposing the mystery their physicality is supposed to be,
Or altering what was fine as it was with means of surgery,
Extensions, implants, removals—
Just unnecessary.
Plastic and artificiality are not meant to be for a human being,
Be it mannerisms, mentalities, or altering their bodies—
Can you give me a reason you want to look or act like a Barbie?
What sense is there in comparing yourself to a doll
Thats reinvented regularly for the past 50 years? None at all.
That is why I am proud to be the way that I am,
I am honored to be thick,
Blessed with these Ds and flesh and meat,
Talk about a five star chick—
I am glad to be real, to be smart, to use my mind,
To comprehend, to THINK on my own, no bad influence of any kind.
I am absolutely outstanding exactly the way I am.
Im not changing, like some do when somethings hype,
And they feel, as a fan, that they should
Emulate their idol, almost identically.
Clearly, they forgot they were Phenomenal Women, Phenomenally.
Clearly, individuality doesnt mean anything.
And for those that let the media affect the
Choice they make and the
Steps that they take and the way
They cake makeup on their face
And Just how much skin is on display;
For those who buy Rapunzel like hair and
Act like their head is full of air
And show more care for celebrities, but,
For themselves, they wouldnt dare—
Except for imitation of said celebrities-
Though that might be the sincerest form of flattery,
To all those people, you have my pity,
Sympathy, and mourning,
Since theyve been tragically lost to superficiality.
In your wake, I shall remain,
Strong and vigilant, outstanding? Yes, but not vain.
Im not a model, Im not the prettiest girl there is,
Im not the most brilliant person ever, Im not a scientific whiz,
But most importantly, Im not FAKE.
Ill never be like anyone else, because,
Im too busy being me.
I can do bad by myself,
And I can do better without the demands
Society makes on how a woman should appear.
Keep the pretentiousness for the groupies.
You wont find any plastic here.
