what's good? how ya doin? it's ya girl Dee back with another video.
in the beginning of May, i received an e-mail from Quirktastic Media, a company founded by Bryanda Law, which has an emphasis on the nerdy/geeky/alternative/quirky folks of color. they were holding their first annual Cosplayer Awards, and someone (to this day i STILL don't know who,) nominated me for my Transformation Sailor Moon. The awards were to be announced during their convention at #QuirkCon, being held in Durham, NC right now. winners were determined by votes, and somehow, some way, folks voted for me. Thank you so much!
because i'm in Missouri and unable to travel at this time, I'm not able to attend QuirkCon in person, but they asked for me to film a thank you video. i am uploading it so that you all can see as well. it's quick, because i had a two minute time limit, but i also needed to make sure i told the world the number one person i'm grateful for, is my mom. love you!
the announcing of the awards were streamed live on Quirktastic's social media, so i'm not sure if there will be a replay or not. but if there isnt, here's my little acceptance speech. to all who voted, thank you! and to everyone, believe in yourself always. You got this!
