The Tiktok Ban is good for the Cosplay Community

Tikok has really messed up every online community, promoting drama, competition, and low effort content. This definitely holds up in the cosplay community as well. Please read some of my additional thoughts that I forgot to mention-
I'm sick of all of it. We were better off without it, really. I will admit that there are some good things that Tiktok brought to the cosplay community. It did give a platform to many deserving creators, it was a place where people could find friends and likeminded individuals, and gave us some great memes, trends, and memories. At the end of the day though, the app did more harm than good to our community by giving a platform to some of the worst people, a trash algorithm that made drama spread like wildfire, and encouraging low effort and sometimes controversial content.
I forgot to say this in the video but: I think my main issue with popular cosplay tiktokers is that a lot of them (not all, of course) seem to have this mentality of being their own entity, rather than part of the community. I get the vibe that they don't want to be "one of us", rather they want us to view them as something higher.
However! This is all of my opinion at the end of the day, and opposing views are always welcome for discussion. As I've stated, I don't wish to discuss the political side of this ban, and ask that we steer away from that in the comments section. This is simply because my video is not talking about the political side of the ban. In case anyone is wondering, while I think getting rid of Tiktok in of itself is good, I do believe in freedom of speech, expression, and a free press, so do with that information what you will.
