Too Faced Sweet Peach Collection: Swatches/Drama/Concerns!
what's good, youtube fam? it's ya girl Dee, back with another video. i invested in most of the Sweet Peach collection from Too Faced to see how the new round of palettes compared to the original, as well as to review the newer items. everything seems to be of a decent quality, in my opinion. the shadow formula is exactly the same as the original. i was completely unaware that Papa Don't Peach was already introduced in Too Faced's early days! it's a gorgeous shade that will compliment any skin tone. as for the glow kit, though it's cute and smells GREAT, it's not worth the cost. you have to remember that Too Faced is a prestige brand, so their items ARE higher than the average drugstore makeup products simply because of the quality . but $30 for the Blush, $42 for the glow kit (that only has one highlight, one blush, and ONE bronzer) are not great price points in the least.
the lip gloss is $19 each, though i have quite a few high end lip products, so i am used to that kind of cost point for those kinds of items.
this is indeed a brown girl friendly collection. the eyeshadow look i'm wearing in the video is from the palette too, though i think i am due to update you all with a tutorial.
there's a bit of drama with the fulfillment of the orders too! i am so sorry for anyone out there who hasn't gotten their item yet or has had some kind of mishap. i hope it works out for you as quickly as possible.
i know several ladies i associate with were concerned and underwhelmed by the palette. i completely understand! just don't let poor swatches convince you of the quality of the product-- they too can be misleading. play around with it a little! i held on to mine from the spring launch; if anything in this collection is worth your time, the palette would be that item for sure.
other than that, let me know your thoughts in the comments! and as always, thanks for dropping by
