Verizon Galaxy Note 8/Android Oreo 8.0 Update -- initial thoughts/review

whats good? how ya doin? it's ya girl Dee back with another tech video.

sorry for the lag in my screen cap feed. the synchronization was off unfortunately. but verbally everything that i state i wind up showing you, either 5 seconds before or 5 seconds after i mention it lol.

last week, the Android Oreo update went live for Verizon Galaxy Note 8 owners. (actually, for a lot of Note 8 owners across the different providers.) as a Big Red user, I wanted to bring you some of my thoughts and impressions/review after using it for a few days. I will bring you a more formal review after using it for a month, if you would like a follow up.

Thus far, it's kind of a refresher for me, as a former Pixel XL User, who was a beta tester for Android O anyways. good to have a renewed sense of use/excitement for the phone. overall battery life has been about the same, only very slight improvement, but i never really tampered with any of the power management settings before. I now anad do pay more attention to them and use the battery monitor regularly.
picture in picture is great-- watching youtube videos on the side while still chatting and texting in the background. the only thing i don't really care for too much would be the map picture in picture, if i need to multi task such as send a text or look up an e-mail, though semi dangerous to do while driving, the map can only be docked on the edges of the screen and often gets in the way of my send button or the back button. but that's just my personal grievance.
i wish we had more s-pen features. maybe that will come with 8.1? or maybe we'll have to wait for the Note 9 for that. overall, i'm happy with the update, and glad that we finally got the new stuff.

is there something i overlooked? or a feature i should know about? let me know in the comments section below, and thanks for watching.
