it was absolutely amazing to be one of over eighty women to participate in this photoshoot. inspired by a videoclip shared by @frogirlginny of about 20 different curly coif'd women shaking their manes, it was viewed almost two million times, and provided the motivation for Christa Rice to create Kansas City's own version.
I've known Christa for years as she, her family and my own family are Ray-South Alum. but this really was black girl magic at it's finest, and a truly breathtaking spectacle to experience. friendships were formed, affirmations and compliments thrown everywhere, and the groundwork was laid for something special to come in the future.
Christa, Brooklynn, thank you again!
