video blog: samsung, verizon, the side chick s7edge (rant)
exceedingly high use of profanity in this video blog/rant.
the same day that my last video blog on the note 7 went live, verizon announced that they would be suppressing service to those who still have a note 7. outgoing calls would redirect to customer service (except for 911 calls), data would be removed/knocked down to the 1x edge network, and texts would be suppressed. a few people panicked, some abandoned verizon altogether, some (such as myself) decided to wait it out. my backup plan though, was to commit to getting a Google Pixel XL (i've been considering that phone for quite awhile) but yet again, it's on backorder. as a favor, VZW granted me an s7 edge to use until the pixel is back in stock, for free. and as a true procrastinator and hopeful note 7 user, i waited until the very last second to activate the s7edge.
but, leading up until that point, they messed up on the order, didn't keep promises to update me, no action was taken from my customer service surveys, and i still had to contact customer service three times in order to get the s7edge successfully activated and functional. i missed out on almost an entire day's worth of communication as a result of it.
so i wanted to share my experience with you guys, if in the event that there's another VZW note 7 user out there such as myself. to any note 7 alliance members, i stand with you. to any note 7 rebel members, i respect your mission. i just wish Jay would have gone about it differently. to all those with a note 7 tho, keep fighting the good fight. the best is yet to come.
