Yaya visits Bunny Island! Japan Vlog!

Have you ever wanted to visit the mystical island in Japan, inhabited by hundreds, if not thousands of rabbits? Well, I went there and drowned in cute bunnies! I really hope you like this video blog!

Here is how you get to Okunoushima, or better known as Bunny Island:

- Okounoshima is accessible through a 15-min Ferry ride from Tadanoumi Port
- A roundtrip fare is 610 yen. The Ferry Schedule, just use google translate:

- Tadanoumi Port is a 10 minute walk from JR Tadanoumi Station. Just follow the signs!
- To get to Tadanoumi Station, take a JR train from a nearby city.
- The closest big city to the island is Hiroshima, about 2 hours away via train.
- We started from Mihara, a small town 30 minutes away from Tadanoumi Station..
- You can easily visit Okounoshima as a day trip!
- There is one hotel on the island, with a restaurant. You can also bring snacks instead, and there are vending machines with drinks. I love Japan.
- The Ferry Kiosk sells small bags of rabbit food pellets for 100 yen each. Buy several, you go through them fast.
- You can also plan ahead and bring fresh vegetables to feed the bunnies.
- While it's okay to touch and feed the animals, there are signs posted to not pick them up. They are still feral animals, no matter how friendly they act around you. Be gentle with them!
- Take a stroll around the island, and visit at least one of the poison gas factories/museums. It's really interesting to learn the history of Okounoshima.
- You can also camp and rent bicycles on the island, so maybe it is worth an overnight stay?
