iPad Mini Dash Install
In this video I go through my creation and installation of a tablet mount that will hold an iPad mini that I can put in my car and use in place of a radio.
I started out by measuring out the dimensions of the dash. I then drew them onto a piece of paper, slightly larger so I would have some room to work with. I then taped the piece of paper onto a thin piece of scrap wood and cut it out. After sanding it down and making sure it fit in the dash, I measured the tablet size and cut out the middle, then after filling in the cracks I laid some vinyl over the top. This gave it a thin lip and made it a lot easier to reach the corners and edges. It works great as a head unit, I can play music and games, and I even get wifi from my drive way so I can sync my music from iTunes wirelessly.
If you want to try this and have any questions, message me on my Facebook page, or send me an email, Ill try to respond as soon as I can. If you liked this video and want to see more, click here.
