poetry: isn't it funny...

1. you hear my son in the background, he's playing the New Super Mario Bros on DS. and excited about it, obviously.
2. this is just something i penned as i became frustrated from being hit on at work. the clientèle is not pleasant, and sometimes they make it a bad experience, with the sometimes rude and distasteful comments i receive.

isn't it funny
if your makeup is just right,
and your shirt is a little tight
strangers eyes seem to find
their way to gaze upon your delights?
isn't it funny,
if there's a sway in your hips
a smile upon your lips,
and a "come hither" look as you bat your lashes,
men are intrigued and not afraid to say
that they are pleased?
isn't it funny
how desires occur
without so much as a word
being exchanged, given, or even concurred?
isn't it funny how physicality prevails,
distracting your mind with
all types and all kinds of
lustful thoughts and ideas
as carnality draws near,
yet the pursuit to discover true beauty fails?
isn't it funny
how i can stand before thee,
and you like what you see
as you wish you had me
physically
yet you know that shall never be,
even still, you are emboldened to
inform me
of your desires, your thoughts,
your wants, even needs
for me to satisfy,
though that shall never suffice..,
isn't it funny
how men never see with their mind?
isn't it funny how it happens,
time after time?
