Skin Care when Facepainting (Before and After painting)

Q1 of 2022 was not the kindest, but I think I found some creative stride again. I hope to have more content soon.
Earlier in the winter it was suggested to do a skincare video surrounding facepaint, and I thought that was an awesome idea. The process won't be the same across all skin types or paint types; but I wanted to give you more insight on the steps that I take using water based paint, and having oily skin.
Please note; the products that I use are not required; find what's best for you, your skin type, and your budget.
Sometimes it seems counter intuitive to use an abundance of moisturizers and primers when your skin produces its own natural moisture, but when dealing with paint, having that smooth and well moisturized canvas makes a world of difference for application and staying power. In addition, when removing the paint, you are likely to remove some of that moisture as well as irritating your skin. Recovery is good to help calm down any kind of irritation, inflammation, or aggrivation, and help restore balance from wearing the paint for extended periods of time, on top of the cleansing/scrubbing. This is another reason that I use microfiber towels when removing my paint, so that i'm not being too rough with my skin.
All in all, an oil/balm makeup remover can go a long way, and is more sustainable to use a microfiber towel than disposable wipes . (but rest assured, i've removed my paint plenty of times with those wipes too lol.)
